Day 19/60: Featured Supplement – Vitamin D

For the last three days, we have been talking about supplements to facilitate the cleanse. You already know about multivitamins, digestive enzymes, and probiotics. The fourth one in the list is naturally known as the sunshine vitamin. Supplementing with vitamin D is almost always needed because most folks are deficient without even realizing it.

Vitamin D is actually an inactive substance, which doesn’t work. The best form of vitamin D is vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol that your body synthesizes naturally in the presence of sunlight. You cannot know without a blood test, but more times than not, your body has decreased vitamin D levels, especially at this time of the year (winter).
