Day 19/60: Featured Supplement – Vitamin D

Epic Heal Cleanse

Day 19 of my 60-days wellness cleanse makes me experience epic healing. Every day, I go live on Facebook to share the new step I have taken on this journey. For these 60-days, I am trying to bring everybody along with me to go together and stay motivated for growth and health.

Vitamin D

For the last three days, we have been talking about supplements to facilitate the cleanse. You already know about multivitamins, digestive enzymes, and probiotics. The fourth one in the list is naturally known as the sunshine vitamin. Supplementing with vitamin D is almost always needed because most folks are deficient without even realizing it.

Vitamin D is actually an inactive substance, which doesn’t work. The best form of vitamin D is vitamin D3 or cholecalciferol that your body synthesizes naturally in the presence of sunlight. You cannot know without a blood test, but more times than not, your body has decreased vitamin D levels, especially at this time of the year (winter).

Vitamin D3 + K2

The supplement I use and recommend is a vitamin D3+K2 capsule. This product is an excellent synergistic combination of vitamin D and vitamin K for bone and cardiovascular health.

You might already know that vitamin D3 regulates the blood calcium levels efficiently. It may make you wonder why you should use the combination of vitamin D3 and vitamin K2.

Here comes the interesting part!

The simultaneous intake of vitamin K facilitates the movement of vitamin D in your body. To put it in easy words, vitamin D3 helps in the absorption of calcium, and vitamin K2 transports it to the bones.

Both of these work together to maintain the optimal calcium levels and bone quality.

Benefits; Why you can’t afford to miss this?

People usually know the Vitamin D role in the absorption of calcium and phosphorus to promote bone strength and density. They may overlook a lot of other health concerns it solves. It has several important functions in a whole bunch of cancers and blood illnesses.

Vitamin D facilitates your normal immune system functions. It reduces your potential risk of developing seasonal influenza virus A infection and heart diseases. It also helps you to fight with autoimmune diseases, including multiple sclerosis.

Vitamin D
Grilled salmon is an excellent source of vitamin D. Other foods high in D include Crimini (Chestnut) mushrooms exposed to UV light, fortified milk and other dairy products, pork chops, and eggs.

I also found two interesting studies that proved that vitamin D supplementation reduces depression and anxiety symptoms experienced in individuals with obesity and fibromyalgia. You may be surprised to know that it also boosts weight loss.

If you are a pregnant female reading this, taking this supplement promises a healthy pregnancy and normal birth. In a recent study, the deficiency of vitamin D was associated with premature infants and preeclampsia.

You can order your vitamin D3+K2 capsules HERE. Feel free to check out other supplements at this link too. Also, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or suggestions.
