Foam Rollers are Amazing!
In this 60-day healing cleanse, I am practicing many great things for my health. Every day, I present live on Facebook and share an educational message and update you on my 60-day journey. I share how I’m feeling each day and what I am doing, and I feel amazing.
Today, I will show you a great, healthy prop to roll out your aches and pains. A foam roller is an excellent tool to add to your exercise regime, and they come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Let me show you what can be done with them.
The Back Stretcher
Let me show you how easy it is to use the foam roller.
Place the foam roller at the lowest part of your back. Have your hands behind your neck to support your head. In this position, simply use it as a prop and stretch your body over it. Bend to the left side and then to the right to allow your body to increase your joint range of motion.
Reposition the roller a little further up (towards the head) and repeat. Keeping your hands interlocked behind your head will remove a lot of the strain at the neck. Feel free at any time to reach your arms backward for an additional stretch. Work your way up the spine as shown. It’s really a very simple thing to do.
What are the Benefits?

Foam rolling eases your muscle soreness and relives your inflammatory areas. It allows you to enhance your range of motion at different joints, which makes your body flexible. Adding foam rolling to your routine helps improve the symptoms of fibromyalgia. Just like yoga on a yoga mat reduces your stress levels, this technique can also help you relax.
Any Discomfort?
If you experience any discomfort with the foam roller, especially if you are using it for the first time, try a softer roller. If the problem persists and there is any pain or injury, stop the exercise immediately. Visit your doctor or contact me to troubleshoot your problem.
